PSL 2024 Schedule | PSL 9, Today’s Match Timings and Results

The PSL 9 is set to begin on February 17 and come to a conclusion with a grand finale on March 18. The PCB has released the entire PSL 2024 schedule.

The PSL 9 schedule marks the beginning on February 17, 2024, with Lahore facing Islamabad in Lahore. The entire contest spans four venues: Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore, and Karachi. Notably, Peshawar is excluded from the list of locations, despite some earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

PSL 9 Fixtures and Venues

Get ready for an action-packed PSL 9 as it features a total of 34 matches, including the intense play-offs and the much-anticipated final. The excitement kicks off with the group stage on February 17, spanning four diverse venues. Circle March 18 on your calendar as the showdown is set to take place in Karachi, along with all crucial play-offs happening in the same dynamic city.

There is a home and away fixture for each competing team, while Islamabad United as well as Peshawar Zalmi will be playing their respective home matches in Rawalpindi respectively. Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiator will host their home matches in the city of Karachi. Multan Cricket Stadium will be the home ground for Multan Sultan. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will be the home ground for Lahore Qalanders. 

Karachi is scheduled to host 11 games in the PSL 9, followed shortly by Lahore and Rawalpindi, each of the teams will host nine games. Five of the tournament’s fixtures are scheduled to take place in Multan.

In the upcoming events, Karachi is scheduled to host 11 matches, Lahore and Rawalpindi are set for nine games each, and Multan will be the hosting ground for five matches.

Some of the most exciting PSL 2024 fixtures will include the rivalry of Lahore VS Karachi and Quetta VS Peshawar. Multan Sultans, who have lost the last two PSL finals to Lahore, will be out for revenge. Lahore, who lost to Islamabad twice in the group rounds, will also be seeking to win.

PSL 2024 Match Timings

PSL 9 timings have also been released by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Double Header on Friday, 1st match will start at 3:00 PM and the second match will start at 8:00 PM (PKT), while on other days, the first match of Double Header will start at 2:00 PM while 2nd match will start at 7:00 PM (PKT). Single Matches kick off daily at 7:00 PM (PKT). In Multan, the Evening Matches begin at 6:00 PM (PKT).

Opening Ceremony and Match

The PCBs headquarters in Lahore will host the HBL PSL 9 starting on February 17, 2024. Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, and two-time winners, will play Islamabad United, the winners of the 2016 and 2018 competitions.

Team Details

Similar to the previous year (2023), the upcoming PSL season 9 (2024) will feature the participation of the following six Pakistan Super League teams.

Karachi Kings

Irfan Khan, Muhammad Akhlaq, Tim Seifert, Shan Masood, James Vince, and Saad Baig form the batting lineup. The all-rounders include Mohammad Nawaz, Jamie Overton, Kieron Pollard, Daniel Sams, and Shoaib Malik. The bowling squad comprises Anwar Ali, Arafat Minhas, Hasan Ali, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Amir Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Sirajuddin.

Lahore Qalandars

Top-order batsmen include Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Shai Hope, Dan Lawrence, Mirza Baig, Sahibzada Farhan, and Rassie van der Dussen. All-rounders in the lineup feature Kamran Ghulam, Rashid Khan, Sikandar Raza, David Wiese, Ahsan Bhatti, and Jahandad Khan.. The bowling squad comprises Haris Rauf, Mohammad Imran, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Syed Faridoun, and Zaman Khan

Islamabad United

Batsmen are Azam Khan, Jordan Cox, Alex Hales, Colin Munro, while All Rounders are Agha Salman, Tom Curran, Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim, Qasim Akram, Shadab Khan and Bowlers MW Forde, Tymal Mills, Naseem Shah, Rumman Raees, Hunain Shah, Shahab Khan, Shamyl Hussain, Ubaid Shah

Peshawar Zalmi

The batting lineup features Asif Ali, Babar Azam, Haseebullah Khan, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Mohammad Haris, Rovman Powell, and Saim Ayub. The Allrounders include Aamer Jamal and Dan Mousley, while the bowling contingent consists of Khurram Shahzad, Mehran Mumtaz, Naveen-ul-Haq, Lungi Ngidi, Noor Ahmad, Salman Irshad, Arif Yaqoob, Mohammad Zeeshan, and Umair Afridi.

Multan Sultan

Reeza Hendricks, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Dawid Malan, Mohammad Rizwan, Tayyab Tahir, Usman Khan, and Yasir Khan form the batting lineup, while David Willey contributes as an all-rounder. In the bowling department, Abbas Afridi, Faisal Akram, Ihsanullah, Chris Jordan, Mohammad Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Reece Topley, Usama Mir, and Aftab Ibrahim showcase their skills.

Quetta Gladiator

In the batting lineup, we have a formidable group including Omair Yousuf, Rilee Rossouw, Jason Roy, Sherfane Rutherford, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Will Smeed, Khawaja Nafay, and Sajjad Ali. The all-rounders contributing to the team’s versatility are Wanindu Hasaranga and Mohammad Wasim. On the bowling front, the team is bolstered by the skillful prowess of Abrar Ahmed, Akeal Hosein, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hasnain, Sohail Khan, Usman Qadir, and Adil Naz.
