Pakistan National Election 2024 Final Results

Out of 336 seats in the National Assembly, 226 of them get their positions by winning elections, while the rest of the 70 seats are kept aside for specific groups. Within these reserved seats, 60 are set aside for women, and 10 for non-Muslims. These specific seats are handed out depending on how many members each political party has in the Assembly.

Pakistan National Elections 2024 results:

The election commission in Pakistan showed the very first results of the 2024 Pakistan General elections on Friday, 9 February. Nearly after nine hours of vote casting, the Election Commission of Pakistan started to inform the results. The news on local media also says, there’s a tough competition between Nawaz Sharif’s party, Bilawal Bhutto’s party, and independent candidates. They are supported by Imran Khan’s party (Tehreek e Insaaf). Right now, independent candidates that are supported by Imran Khan’s party are a bit ahead.

Pakistan National Elections 2024 results

In the election of 2024, the results of all seats of the national assembly are not fully announced officially. But the official result shows that any party has not secured 2/3 majority of the National Assembly seats so far. Independent candidates who are linked with PTI are just slightly ahead, and PML-N is close behind in second place, including victories for Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif, who were former Prime Ministers, in the areas where they were famous.

In the election of 2024, about 128 million people cast their vote to choose 266 members of the national assembly who will represent the 16th parliament of Pakistan. They contribute to voting in all provinces including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and KPK. Nawaz Sharif the three-time former PM is considered to be a favourite in the 12th general election in Pakistan. He has recently returned from abroad to participate in Pakistan’s election.

Pakistan election 2024 updates

Many NA seat results have been announced officially. PTI-recommended independent candidates are leading the top with 93 NA seats. Secondly, PMLN has secured 78 seats in the national assembly after joining 4 independent candidates. PPP has 54 seats in NA, and MQM Pakistan secured 17 seats. Other independents who were not supported by any party secured 5 seats.  JUI has 4 and Muslim League Q has 3 seats. So 264 seats’ results have been announced and one seat’s result remains to be confirmed.

On the second side, some political parties are protesting all over the country. Some political parties are meeting together to get support from other parties to increase their seats and to make their own government. Because any party has not secured enough seats to make its own self-government.

2 days before, the chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari met the PML-N Shahbaz Sharif to discuss further in-country politics. But the other related details are not shown in the media. The 4 member squad of MQM Pakistan consisting of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Kamran Tessori, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Mustafa Kamal went to Lahore to meet PML-N Shahbaz Sharif. They say that they did not talk about making a government, they just want permanence in Pakistan’s politics. However, the Muslim League (Q) has confirmed that they are ready to form a government with PML-N.

The most important controversy is that without PPP support any party could not make its government. The PTI claimed that they have a chance to make government solely in the National Assembly.

PS Pakistan’s Elections 2024 results

The positions of province seats are a bit clear. PMLN has majority seats in the Punjab assembly. 137 seats have been secured by PMLN from 296 seats. 116 seats have been won by PTI-supported independents. 22 seats have been other independents in the Punjab assembly. If these 22 independents are included in PMLN then PMLN will succeed in making government in Punjab. But if these 22 independents join the PTI, there will be no chance for the PTI to form a government in Punjab.

Sindh Assembly PPP has a very clear position by getting majority seats. It secured 84 seats in the Sindh assembly. MQM Pakistan has 28 seats and independents have 11 seats in the Provincial Assembly. PPP can easily form a government in Sindh because they have no competition for them.

PTI has held in the KPK assembly by winning 83 seats out of a total of 113. Other independent candidates who are not supported by PTI have secured 9 seats and the remaining 7 seats have been won by JUI-F. In KPK, PTI can make their government easily because they also don’t have much competition there.

An interesting situation is created In Balochistan. 11, 11 seats were won by the PPP and JUI-F. PMLN has 10 seats in PS. So it will be interesting who will make government in Balochistan and it could depend on a coalition in the National Assembly.
