The event will run from May 1 to May 9, 2025, and is set to bring together athletes from across the country.
This year’s games will be special as they return to Karachi after nearly two decades. The last time the city hosted the National Games was in 2007. Now, after 18 years, Sindh will once again take the lead in hosting the prestigious event. The games will take place at 21 different venues across Sindh, ensuring wide participation and coverage. The Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium will serve as the venue for both the opening and closing ceremonies, adding to the grandeur of the event.
A total of 34 sports will be featured during the games, ranging from traditional sports to Olympic disciplines. Over 10,000 athletes and officials are expected to participate, making it one of the largest sporting events in Pakistan. The games will not only showcase the talents of local athletes but will also promote sports culture across the country.
In addition to the sports competitions, the event will also attract attention from high-profile figures. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have been invited as special guests for the opening and closing ceremonies, further elevating the importance of the event.
